Matt Holycross is Director of Finance of The Taft Companies, with a broad based accounting and finance background and experience leading various financial functions of insurance companies.
Previously Matt served as Controller and Chief Financial Officer of National Unity Insurance Company, a property and casualty insurer specializing in private passenger and commercial auto coverages in the Southwest US, based in San Antonio, Texas; as Controller at Accident Insurance Company, a national carrier of insurance solutions with Workers' Compensation, Garage Liability, and General Liability programs, and niche program opportunities; and as a member of the audit Staff at Elliott Davis, one of the largest accounting, tax and consulting services firms in the Southeast.
Matt is a graduate of the South Carolina Honors College with a B.S. degree in Business Administration-Finance and Accounting, and of the South Carolina Moore School of Business. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in South Carolina, with memberships in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants.
